Toronto Terminal 1 Arrivals

Domestic Arrivals

Toronto Airport Terminal 1 Domestic flights operate from Pier D and E Gates.

Follow the moving walkways to the central hub and the baggage claim area. Take an escalator or elevator down to the baggage claims area. Baggage carts are available for your use. Collect your baggage and exit the domestic arrivals hall.

Taxis and limos are at curbside on the arrivals level. Car rentals are available in the parking garage.

International Arrivals

International travelers staying in Canada take the escalator up and follow the signs to customs A. Moving walkways will make your walk to customs easier, then go down the escalator to Canada Customs. After clearing Customs check the signs to see what direction to go to get your baggage from the carosel your flight has been assigned. Baggage carts are avallable for your use.

There is also a currency exchange center in the baggage claims area. After clearing customs you will arrive at international arrival hall.

For your convenience, in Toronto Airport Terminal 1 there are information centers for all airport arrival services including airport shuttles and airport shuttles they are located on both sides of the arrivals hall.

Car rental agencies are located in the parking garage. Taxis and limos operate at curbside on the arrivals level.

Toronto Airport Terminal 1 Connections

Canada to Canada

Terminal 1 Domestic flights operate from the Pier D and E gates which are connected by moving walkways to a central hub. If you are connecting to a Domestic flight in terminal 1 simply check the flight monitors when you arrive at the central hub.

Canada to Us

Terminal 1 Domestic flights operate from the Pier D and E gates which are connected by moving walkways to a central hub.

If you are arriving from a Domestic flight connecting to the US follow the signs to US connections.

Take the escalator or elevator up to the Departures Level, follow the overhead US Connections signs to the US Baggage Claim Entrance. Show your US Boarding Pass to the Check Point Officer prior to entering the US baggage claim area, then collect your bags and proceed to US Customs for pre clearance into the US.

Canada to International

Terminal 1 International flights operate from gates 168-181 at the end of Pier F.

Connecting from a Domestic flight to an International Flight in terminal 1 is easy. Follow the moving walkways to the central hub. Look for the overhead signs with the world symbol and proceed to gates 168-181. Then take an escalator or elevator up and continue to follow the overhead world signs for gates 168-181.

You will have to show your Passport and boarding pass to International Checkpoint Officers before continuing on to your International Departures gate. Take the moving walkway to the very end of Pier F take the elevator or escalator down to your departure gate.

International To Canada

International flights arriving at Pier E or Pier F, then connecting to a Domestic flight, take the escalator up and follow the signs to Customs A. After clearing customs, check the baggage info monitor and proceed to the carousel assigned to your flight. Then go down one level to the International baggage claim area and pick up your baggage.

A currency exchange booth is available on this level. Leave the customs area and follow the Connections signs. Check the flight info monitors and follow the Canadian Flag symbol on the overhead signs.


International to US

If you are connecting from flights outside of Canada to the US take the escalator up and follow the signs to Customs A, you will then go to the Customs Primary Inspection Point.

When you first enter Customs A follow the signs to US Connections for Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, United or US Airways for US Customs pre clearance, then take the escalator up one level to the US baggage collection area. Proceed to US Customs, after clearing customs go down to the US gate area.

International and US to International

If your flight arrives on the Pier F concourse then take the escalator up and follow the signs to Customs B.

Flights arriving on a US flight on Pier E will follow the World Signs to gates 168-181 moving walkway will take you to customs B near Gate 157 at the entrance to Pier F.

After clearing customs Passengers taking flights to International destinations take the moving walkway to the International Departures Gate area at the end of Pier F. Go down escalator down to your departure gate.
